Hi All,
I am a Motorsport Engine Builder/Development Engineer with over 35 years Motor Trade experience. Of particular interest to me is developing the N/A I6 power plant, although much work has also been done on forced induction motors too. I can offer engineered modifications to these power plants. Previous examples of my modifyed Ford DOHC I6 N/A power plants have reached 199 RWKS (measured on a Dyno Dynamics Dyno) Rather than provide my services to other 'tuning shops' I'm considering providing engine development services direct to the vehicle owners. Thought I'd float my idea... Cheers Engine Guy |

Uhh...I don't understand this response... My aim is to offer an engine development service - rather than 'bolt on parts' which is what 'seems' to be currently availablefrom the 'tuning shops'... If there are questions or advice needed then, within reason I am happy to help. Cheers Engine Guy |

Needless to say, to reliably make this kind of power requires expert engine assembly coupled with special modifications.
The engines creating this level of power are rated highly in dyno comparisons. Cheers Engine Guy |

I'm also keen to know what is done different than tuner shops you do.
Also the costs involved to get to that power level. I'm an N/A man myself. Love to hear more about it. |

My approach is based on pure motor sport development principles, a lot of R&D has gone into reliably reaching these power levels.
From what I have seen, most of the tuning shops use readily available off the shelf components, as opposed to providing the best solution for the application. Cheers Engine Guy |

Work has included cylinder block modifications, considerable cylinder head work, porting, flow bench testing, camshaft replacement, valve train modifications - and other flow enhancing modifications...
I did not personally take any photo's. Basically I can offer a custom engineering service direct to the vehicle owner - I wanted to let people know this is available direct from an engine builder. Cheers Engine Guy |

All I am trying to do is see if vehicle owners would use an engine development engineer direct rather than use a tuning shop...
As I said in my first post.....just floating the idea - to see if it's worth investing in. Cheers Engine Guy |

It really does depend. People on here are very quick to criticise, so you'll need a decent market plan before putting forth ideas. I would be interested to know more, but it would largely depend on costs involved.
