Something like this
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-Windsor-Cle ... 3caf897207 makes a lot of sense - I wonder if anyone is doing them for the I6. I was told a long time ago that the I6 rips engine mounts because of the torque involved, and the relative location of the engine mounts on the block. The Ford Genuine mounts have an interlocking tongue on each half of the mount to restrict overall movement, so the mounts last. and last.. and last. Im not sure about now, but before the mackay mounts used to omit the interlocking tags so the mount would stretch and tear Nigel |

Like I said - originally they didnt have the tabs. They stop the engine turning too far, and ripping the mount. For a long time Mackay mounts didnt have them - they were fine for normal auto unmodified falcons. I last used them 20 years ago
