anyone replaced engine mounts?

i wanna replace the one on the extractor side, cos my whole box is shakin (esp at lumpy idle) and i reckon it migh dial out some backlash from the driveline...

how much should they be, are there any nolathane ones available,
and can i jsut sorta hoist the engine a bit and chock it while i replace it..

are the other ones easy to get at and change, or do i gotta pull engine out.

This may be something I may need to have replaced.

I've replaced many engine mounts, yes you can get nolathane, (i can supply them)

You don't need a engine host, but it helps :) or use a trolley jack and some wood ... Im pretty sure the EF/EL ones don't fit onto a EA-ED mount .because when I was putting the EF motor into my ED I had to use the ED engine mounts.

not a huge drama, just:

place a trolley jack under the engine, jack it up so its releiving some of the pressure of the eng mount then undo the eng mount bolts. you might have to do these with a rattle gun or a real big breaker bar.
then when thats done jack the moter up and take the mount of and replace it.

its ok to jack the engine from the sump coz your not jacking the whole car up. you have to jack it up just enough to get the old mount out and the new one in.
