I have finally finished doing a head swap on my ED, I removed intake and head as one unit then swapped the intake over and fitted replacement head.
Everything seems to work as it should, but my problem now is that the car won't start. I started by checking timing to make sure I didn't mix any leads up, checked for spark, have fuel and fuel lines are the right way, sounds dumb but do the injectors have a firing order like the ignition, could I have some in the wrong position? Engine trys to fire but doesn't quite make it. |

Hi Mate,
I recall something about the injectors firing in two or three at a time. The wiring for the groups are colour matched and should be one away from each other. You should check this further though as I can't recall clearly the exact arrangement. Re the timing, are you sure you got the top dead centre right when putting the cam gear and timing chain on? BenJ

I set the motor on TDC before removing the head, and as you know BenJ I had the timing cover off, I removed the chain but reinstalled in same position as I removed it, I set the cam up at TDC to match crank, once head was on I double checked the timing was right. got me a bit puzzled, will check out dads EL for the injector wiring position.
