ED and EL rocker ratio is the same, it will fit but it wont make any power changes

stock EL cam wont make much difference,

yes

not much at all, remember AU rocker ratio is 1.8:1 EA to early EL is 2:1

AU cover won't fit an ed head properly regardless of what rockers are used.

what are trying to achieve?

why do you want to change rocker arms?

why do you want to fit EL or AU cams to an ED?

AU (and hybrid EL) and e series generally dont mix well. (like metal flying throw motor)

upgrading to a different stock cam wont really give a performance gain.

an AU one. then you need the rockers and cam from one too.

if your looking for a top end performance upgrade, chuck the one you have, get an ef-el head, send the cam off to Wade or get a stage 2 from crow.

you'll be pleasently suprised. however, then you'll need an exhaust upgrade to really make the most of it

will a au top cover fit the ef/el/au heads as i was told it would but wanted to make sure.

how much would it cost to get a cam sent off to wade and get a grind.

how much does it cost for a stage 2 crow cam. and which stage 2 crow cams best for the towing power.

what benefits does a stage 2 crow cam have.

am i able to send a ed cam to get a stage 2 crow cam spec grinded onto a ed cam for how much.

do you know cheap as possible places to get regrind wade cams and stage 2 crow cams.

what wade cam and stage 2 crow cam do you reccomend for the towing power and super smooth idle

mate, lots of this is already covered in stickies.

stg 2 is a billet job so no need for shims.

costs? who knows? serious, how longs a piece of string

Ef el au rocker covers should all be the same as my hybrid shares the cover with EL's

you cant get a crow cam regrind as far as i know.

super smooth idle? a new cam for low down power will throw that idea out the window.

IIRC billets are a little worse at idle than regrinds

The cams are pretty much the same from ea to ef.. as in they all fit into each other...

and it depends on the wade cam?? its either for ea-ef or el-au..
ask them and when you order it....

hi. which regrind cam do you reccomend for a ed 6 cyl 4.0L that has towing power, low down power and still keeps the factory smooth idle and works with std ecu, oneday i might also install 2nd hand extractors from upullit.

what places would you sugest i go to on the internet that does regrind cams to suit the above.

how many kms to a tank and how many litres per 100 km city or country will i get with the above cam.

will i get 600 kms minimum to a tank if i use the above cams. just wondered, which cam do yous reccomend for that and the above

it depends on who you get it from??
im currently using a crow 2222519 billet cam in my ed and it has excellent torque..(which im looking at selling soon) :)
it idles smooth with the std ecu(after the ecu learnt).
on the dyno this cam pulled 375 rwnm of torque at 90 kmh in 4th gear.
which is about 1800 rpm and kept a fairly flat torque curve..

ive towed a trailer with about 400+kgs of rubbish with 3 people in the car and it hardly felt like the trailer was there..on the weigh bridge it weighed 2.6t with car, passengers, rubbish and trailer.
for me its not exactly the cam i wanted but it does have a strong mid range..
personally im after something with more up top..

you should call a few cam places and tell them what your looking to do and they will recomend a cam that suits your needs..

on the rocker cover thing, i have what started out life as an ED head, and i have ef rocker gear, and an ef rocker cover on it.

*from memory the head had two channels cut in the front/back semi circle dip bits for the ef rocker cover gaskit to fit.

as for your cam question, ask it in the wade cams section above, about a low rpm cam, chris will have a profile to match (from mem they on holydays until the 12th so answer may take a lil while)
