Hey guys i have plans for a nitrous injected turbo engine and was wondering for some suggestions for when i start to rebuild it in a couple of weeks... Im thinking ACL light weight, flat top pistons atm. Im not sure bout conrods, any big end or compression, i was going to get my head shaven but have been warned that it would kill a non N/A engine. Help please??

Shaving a head will raise your compression in the motor, big no no for forced induction

hmmmm how much $$$ you got?
i can see forged internals, mammoth turbo and nitrous to spool turbo up coming along :)

sorry i couldnt be more specific before i was rushing in my lunch break... Its an ED falcon normal 4liter. i was just talking to my mate at work and he sed id best be off with just a major worked engine and a monster turbo then NOS coz then i can have higher compression and not be liable for a yellow sticker or insurance if crashed. Unlimited dollars going into this car, so u tell me what would make this the ultimate four liter and ill do it. Cheers guys

This makes no sense.

If you have all the money in the world, buy an atomic 950kw engine, bolt it in, fit a GT55, nitrous 6 port fogger kit, powerglide and run some 8's.

An atomic motor is a falcon 6.

Can you get an aftermarket turbo setup engineered in WA?

I personally wouldn't run ACL flattops if I was feeding it boost, or any decent sized shot of n20.

And how having high compression, a monster turbo and NAAAWS prevents you getting defected I'm not sure.

Is it like the traffic authorities 'three in a row' promotion?
Is the cheque giant sized?

Street legal is pretty black and white. Any engine mods you do to be street legal need to be tested on a full drive cycle by the EPA. You need to conform to set emissions similar to what the automotive manufacturers do. Not sure what the exact regs are in WA but you would be best discussing any of your plans with one of the local engineers.
Its not impossible to do but it can get expensive.
Thats just engine...then to make the car legal it needs to conform to all ADR's of "your vehicle' from when it was manufactured, meaning brake test, suspension as well as structural tests to make sure the car still complies after what would be a HUGE power increase.

High compression + turbo = detonation.

im a marine mechanic 3rd year. dont got s**t loads of money but ive saved about 50g's. ok make it more simple... can any one give me brand names for strong internals. i heard forged is better then cast so thats wat im chasing. i want strong pistons, conrods, bearings, rings u name it. the i was thinking a ef/el bbm manifold for intake with larger injectors(any one suggest a high flowin injector?) then i want to slap a twin turbo setup in so wat manifold will i need, what are good turbos, etc. exhaust going to be mendrel bent custom 2 1/2 inch with maybe 3 inch tail pipe. I have a 5 speed manual and im going to put an xr6 alloy tailshaft in. slotted discs ( good brands?), 295 fatties by goodyear i guess on 17inch rims, ultra low kingsprings, the gto body kit from camberra car stylings and finnally in the inside i want fpv lether electric seats, ef/el dash...that kinda thing. Its going to be a big project and ill makesum docos as i go, i wood realy appreciate some input and suggestions along the way as well so thanks in advance

so in other words you deal drugs on the side ? most apprentices would be lucky to save that putting their entire salary away for 3 years.

post up a pic of the alloy tailshaft after the first dyno run so we can see what a split one looks like.
