Hi all
As the thread title says, my wife's EBII S Pack is running hot but the temp gauge is not displaying anything unusual, sitting at between the O & R of "Normal" . When she gets home, there is a hot oily smell coming from the engine bay. I know things get hot under there but it smells alot hotter than my 90 EA... Has anyone else come across this behaviour and where might I start looking? Cheers Bruce

Check the fluid levels of the power steering and gearbox as well.
Can also go buy a few cans of degreaser and empty them all in your engine bay - wait 10 minutes, then hose it out. It will then be easy to work out if something is leaking.

Thanks guys
Definitely has coolant and the auto fluid is OK. Will check for other leaks after cleaning the engine and also the PS fluid levels. Cheers Bruce
