need help with my i6 ED fairmont

i've got problems starting the car up, basically when the engine is cold she starts fine, its only when i've driven the car around for 20-25mins and shut the motor down and leave it for about 5-15 mins, when i try to start it again the motor doesn't wanna fire up!
its cranking but just doesn't wanna fire up, and take 5-10sec to get it going. sounds like there isn't fuel to turn it on..

also after i shutdown the motor and restart it striaght after, the motor starts fine!

this problem is very frustrating

i've changed the fuel pressure regualtor, put new leads and dizzy cap, spark plugs have been changed.
injectors have been cleaned.

any ideas? i'm sure its not the battery

Could be the coil. A common fail for coils is a crack that only appears once hot. The heat sink that happens when a hot car is turned off makes the crack appear giving you a faulty coil, therefore no spark. After cranking for a while the coil cools and crack closes up allowing car to start.

cheers
Scott

check your fuel filter and pump. If it's a sensor problem, maybe you can run a computer diagnosis with a test pen to pinpoint the cause.
