Hey guys,

Lately in my EBII i've been getting a tapping kinda rattle when I start her up. It keeps tapping until i actually start to drive (and engine heats up) and then it dissapears. It generally only happens when the engine is cold - not if i went for a drive and then started it 10 mins later.

Has anyone else had this? The motor has done 295000kms. But it idles ultra smooth and runs great. Im currently using 25-60w oil (due to number of kays on it). Would a slightly thinner oil help at all?

Any help would be great guys! :P

P.S Its not a ticking noise but rather a tapping sound. (so i dont think its lifters). I may be wrong tho.

Oil level is at max. Oil is only 1000kms old anyway and was doing this before the change also. Thanks for input :)
