for starters, global apology from another thread, brother has been silenced and passwords have been changed to protect the innocent.
aah, now. looking for informed opinions on the viability of converting either ol xt or late 60's stang to run newer generic ford engine, economy oriented for stylish daily cruiser. only in very early stages of pre plan but will appreciate opinions or ideas. anything helpful will be greatly appreciated and duly acknowledged. thanking in advance

Are you looking at a 6 or an 8 mate?
If it's an 8 then post it up in the V8 forum. |

Yeah, 4.0 SOHC/DOHC should go in without to many problems. The biggest problem with the conversion seems to be the gearbox. The 4 speed auto wont fit without mods, and I have even heard that the 3 speed borg warner boxes have trouble fitting into the early falcons without trans tunnel mods.
You could also modernise the origional engine. It wouldnt be hard to get a EFI 250 2V or similar up and running which would be something a little unique and very cool.
