when ever u use a high pressure cleaner under the bonnet, u should try to keep away from the distributor cos it does leak. an easy fix is to unclip the cap and spray inside with crc wd40. the last time it happened to me i was at carlovers using a gerni. i didnt have any crc in the boot so had to drive it running on 4-5 cylinders. it will eventualy clear itself once it starts to dry out.

i didnt know the silicon leads could get damp with moisture, or do you mean the carbon centre cores at each end clip?

Spray all electrical in engine bay with WD40.
it also pays to leave the bonnet up to let the moisture evaporate. I never had a problem before!

A friend of mine had the exact same problem a few weeks ago. cleaned engine, car drove fine. next day still drove fine, that afternoon it died. she called the RAC and the coil had died. we put a new one on the next day, all good again. It seems they take a while to fry the coil after cleaning the engine, so i would have a good look at the coil and try another one if you have a spare.

Remember to use a water dispenser next time.

Els are a common problem
I had the same thing happen with the coil they are prone to cracking and you have probably got water in the coil - Pull it off and inspect to see fi there are cracks in it If so replace it
