98 octane is about the best petrol you can get here. its just premium

you can get the shell 100 octane but its got a descent percentage of ethanol.

most of our pumps only have 91octane.
one of the other forum members were saying a while back that the usa uses a differant measurment to measure the octane of the petrol there

eg: 91 = 88 IIRC

wel for the right hand drive thing, isn't there a handful of skylines and supras and s**t floating around over there and they would be majority righthand side.

IIRC, america uses the average of the RON and MON numbers. which is usually 5 points different from the RON number we use here.

Meaning our 98 RON fuel is equal to 93 over there.

that is based on the first statement being true. however, if that has changed and their number is just the RON number then you will need to find 98 ;)

I'm waiting on some shipment quotes for next year any day now. I wanna get the turbo and then do a stage 1 APS package on it. should be able to eat some rice with that and some D/R's.

What is the 98 Petro stuff that you guys have? Its says the stage II package and up requires it and stock to use 95. Our normal pumps have only 93 octane.

Lol - how awesome would it be having an "import" that was acutally a turbo 4L muscle car?!?

Our petrol is measured differently to yours I reckon mate. Our regular is 91 octane, our premium is 95 octane and our high octane is 98 octane (or 100 in some cases).

What kind of fuel does someone in the USA run a modified WRX or Skyline on?? Or a supercharged Mustang for that matter... That should be fine for a modded XR6 turbo.

yeh man, it was, even my rice loving mate saw it. It was the issue where they had xr6t vs xr5t vs sti. xr5 was the slowest, xr6 was the fastest.

Yeah I've been a fan for a while. I'm die-hard FORD all the way. I'll add stuff to my sig when I get a chance. I think I just diagnosed my problem with my stang, bad valve guides :(. Damn that lift. haha.

Sounds good about the fuel too. I was afraid you guys had some insane octane ratings. I thought might have to mix our 93 with some 110 (115 your rating) to get the right mixture. That would have sucked. If anyone has a link with performance stats for the xr6 turbo that would be great. I'm having a hard time finding one.

Its good that other countries are interested in owning our cars, as long as they keep away from our classic musscle cars :)

Got a 1990 Gt Hatch. Needs a little body work in the right rear. New tailights and such. I just put a new shortblock under my stuff but have to replace valve guides asap :(. check the sig below though about the engine and other mods.

Gaz. Check your conversion method. It should be about 332 lb-ft. :)

I'll stay away from your classic muscle. We got plenty of that over hear. We have two Boss 429's in our club actually. My friends wanting me to my car asap so we can hop it up. He knows a lot about turbos. Hes puttin together a 632 Chevy with twin T88's right now that should lay down close to 3000 hp at the wheels (estimated).

Check out the DIY section for a guy named andrew. He also has a hatch that hes turboed. Its insane! Nowhere near as insane as a 632 with twin t88s but!
