hey all i have a lil prob with my el recently i have noticed that when i floor it i can smell fumes coming into the car with the windows wound up do you think that it could caused by a hole in the exhaust or would it be something else.

i know i have a hole somewhere on the exhaust sytem for about 6 months but it just started with the smell about 3 days ago could that be the cause

A hole in the exhaust will do that, check the cat for blockage while you're at it too.

You need to look as it is the none gas smell that kills(carbon dioxcide has no smell).
In the past people have driven a car and not noticed a smell but the people in the back seat died. If you knew you had a leak 6 months ago why not look for it earlier.
The exhaust is the most dangerous thing in a car if not checked even boaters( inboards) have killed there freinds due to exhaust leaks.

well the reason why i havnt had it fixed yet is because i have been saving to put a new system on with a high flow cat and extractors on all at once instead of doing it in bits and peaces
