i was wondering if anyone out there has a six with a very deep and bassy sounding tone?? and if so what mufflers or set-up u have, what u have taken off etc..just to help me out on why mine isnt sounding good
mine has EXTRACTORS--CAT-2 1/2 INCH PIPING-CENTRE STRAIGHT THROUGH MUFFLER-REAR MUFFLER
i just found out it dosent have 2 1/2 inch piping from the centre muffler out to the tips so im gna get that done but what else do i need..i think the centre straight through muffler is crap and letting the tone down ! and im going to remove the rear muffler aswel.

yea im thinking that too..along with the rest of the 2 1/2 inch piping at the diff..i used to have a hotdog at the back and the centre straight through muffler and it sounded like s**t..im thinking the straight through mufflers are just an ugly tone for a car.

They tend to drone without a rear muffler. My single muffler redback system has an annoying drone below 3000 rpm then gets quiet above that. Would rather it be quiet at low revs and loud up high....

When T bought the car it had a bodgy system with two small hotdog mufflers, one before the diff and one at the back. Sounded great, loud at high revs but not droney, one of the best falcon 6 notes I've heard. Had to get it changed for rego, wish I had kept it now.

yeh i agree..but with the centre straight thru they sound abit tinny and like a 4 cylinder..at the moment mine sounds like that lol..im thinking of taking the rear off and putting the 2 1/2 inch piping on the back..and leaving the centre straight throu see how that sounds if it sounds crap and not deep..i will put a different centre muffler on.
