I considered that idea too Slick...but as cooki monster said it requires an extra tip.

...But actually...considering flanges are so expensive might be a better option...less dissecting of the exhaust.

Would mean 4 flanges instead of 6 (extra 2 costing almost another tip)

i think we're onto something here :D

PS* There's Zero room for the butterfly switch bypass option

Thats pretty lucky 'iam death'. Not even at the 100km area do you experience any drone?

I find even WITH my reso I get a small drone...its odd.

iam death, use some punctuation and you'd be at least half as irritating.
He wants to be able to have a loud car, yet revert to something a bit quieter when he's on long trips.
How your car not droning helps, I'm unsure...

EF_Machine, the bonus of having the tailpipe section interchangeable, is that you could have two different tips, change the look of your car as well as the sound! :P

here we go another d***head,i thought the jist of this was that the droning was annoying,not the noise from the car.my point being that mine didnt and i was interested to know why others did.
i was lucky with mine but my local exhaust bloke suggested the set up i had an garunteed no drone with the set up.he was spot on.

thats basically how the 5L Commmodores are setup, thats why every p plater that buys one goes straight to the exhaust shop, they can just un blot there reso's and bolt on a straight section of pipe!

yeah mate that is the way to go i think, yoiu can change the tone of your car, and the looks all in one go and it soves your problem straight up.

actually i might do the same, cause i hate the drone noise on the long trips.

can some one explain what a butterfly switch is??

think of the 'bug catcher' intake hats that sit on the carberretors of dragsters. {-O-O-O-}

It's one of those sitting inside your piping at the point of intersection, changing the flow through one pipe into and alternate pipe.
