u shood hear my car! lol. i sorta copied my m8 who has an EL but made it beta. we unbloted the whole exhaust rite behind the cat converter. he left his hanging from the bolts, wich makes a real drone and the bolts rattle around when idling, (and mine eventually fell off) so i removed the gasket and jammed a nail in there and tightened it back up. so now the nail keeps a 2/3mm gap between the cat and the rest of the exhaust. its not 2 drony cos there is only a slight gap, but i luuv it wen i go down a hill at bout 60/70km-h cos slammin it back to third (auto) results in a wikid popping noise that gets ALOt of looks! lol

i was just wonder when you do that nail thing with the Exhaust what is the bad side to it all in other words do u lose power and bad for fuel economy

id be more worried about stopping at the lights and breathing in all thatlovely carbon monoxide, or going on long trips and getting tired all of a sudden. Not to mention that it would sound like a tractor

Ummmm, I see you only 17 so I'll say this nicely,
For f**k's Ssake put your exhaust back to normal before you lose any more brain cells.
Not only is it dangerous to you and the people in your car it makes it unroadworthy.

Far out man, I can't stand the sound of a leaking exhaust!

Dead set, consider this team to be nice! I'm sure a lot have reconsidered how to reply to this!

Get a proper 2.5" cat back, typically around the $300 mark.. or more in ACT! Loud, Legal (usually), and you can still have that nice pop (which is something I like too at times).

Goto any exhaust place they should be able to do u a 2 1/2 inch cat back system for about 300ish. Will sound beautiful ie: not like a tractor/speedway car and not smell like youve got your nose stuck up your exhaust pipe. And even better u will be legal cuz with your exhaust the way it is your cop/epa/hospital bait mate.

for $275 you can get a cat back lukey system with 1 muffler and will sound tuff as. dont be a d**k and put not only yourself and your mates at risk but other road users as well.

if you want to be a bogan, trade in the falcon and get a commodore

If the young fella is hard up for cash, nothin wrong with gettin the exhaust bloke to cut out 1 of the 2 mufflers and replace with straight pipe i guess.

Shouldnt cost more than $50

I've only got one muffler with all straight through pipe (besides the cat) on my falcon and it isn't that loud at all surprisingly.
