Do extractors, and a bigger exhaust use more petrol than the stock system?

my understanding is at full throttle it will; becaue the engine can make relieve itself of the gases quicker, and therefore use more more fuel and air.

If you drive sensibly, I believe the car will make more power at the same throttle position.. so you could drive with less throttle, and in turn; use less fuel.

Extractors are usually advertised as more power, more fuel efficient.. and above is how I reckon it provides both benefits.

it will actually provide more efficiencty slightly however your driving habit will probably not give this efficiency any justice.

i do a heck of alot more cruising.. thus gaining the Fuel econemy advantage more than i do losing econemy flooring my car.. i reckon i save money on fuel costs with the exhaus/intake and other mods to free up the engine...

if anything would marginally improve fuel efficiency, however having a horn dog exhaust note makes you wanna plant your foot more :P
