2 & 1/2" exhaust pipes drone......thats it......and a 3" will be worse.....comes back to the circumference of the exhaust tubing used.
I made my exhaust using 2 x 2 & 1/4" pipes that run right into the muffler, then exit as a single 2 & 1/2". I have just that muffler, and no resonators.
Before that, I have Pacie Comps 4480's, a CAT that is a bit over 600mm long.
It is very quiet, doesn't drone, and appears to flow quite well.
The 3" pod filter makes more noise.
