Ok so i have my exhaust system its a 2 1/2 inch system mandrel bent with 2 straight though mufflers, but i sorta want it louder but dont want to wreck the nice sound it has. Was thinking of taking out one of the mufflers?
Any suggestions?

Got me a bit confused mate,

Are you saying that you have a 2.5" straight through exhaust with 1 muffler and 1 resonator????

If so, remove the resonator if you want more sound. That will be the one closest to the tip of the exaust (it will be rounder than the flatter muffler in the centre).

But get a mechanic to do it.

Well maybe its a resonator? but on my receipt it says two seperate mufflers? either way will it still sound good if i remove it? Is it worth it? Yeah i would get a mechanic to do it aswell.

there is one near the tip and one about in the middle. Will it be legal? (sound wise)

if you say it has a nice sound why do you want to muck around with it??? And no it won't be legal if you remove the rear muffler. Most dual muffler systems such as the Redback exhausts are just on the limit anyway. Loud exhausts are for ricers.

I agree with Pluco, dont do it!! But if u want your car to have more of a cackle to it fit some extractors to it. I did it to my car and i have a mate who nearly blows his load when i rev it!

there is no chance of it being legal if you take one out. you'l probably find it's too loud the way it is, with both mufflers
