LOL, I bet the VAREX muffler on it's own costs more than a complete Redback exhaust.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was double even triple the price of the redback system, but who cares, its like the best thing ever made!!!!!!!! hahaha.

i had considered getting one on my 180sx, they're like $600 if I remember right.

I got a redback catback 2.5" for $270 installed, no rear res, sounds great with high flow cat and pacies. In eb2 fairmont.

In ED xr6 wagon, I got a custom mandrel bent 2.5" stainless steel catback. This was like $680 installed, but that was also about 10 years ago when I wasn't even a teen yet :P But the stainless steel sounds great...(no extractors on the xr and it does have the rear res)

i watched one of the videos on youtube abou the varex exhaust, and it said was about $500 for it, so looks like i better start saving. but i dunno about it though, my mate got booked by bacon for his exhaust, nearly got defected, but he took it down tothe local muffler bloke and he put the rear cat back on while the bacon watched it happen, so he just got a fine, so its kinda put me off it for a while.

In reference to wasting money on a varex system, I hope they provide a free bottle of KY for you.

i just got a reply from varex mufflers in sydney! they dont have a direct bolt up varex remote exhaust
for my au ! but they have installers in sydney who custom can fit it on my non stainless system !
the 2.5 inch oval tip muffler is $399.00 plus fitting.
i will get in contact with the installer in the next few days and let ya know what happens. :D

when you consider that a good magnaflow straight through sports muffler is $400 this varex is a bargain.

OMFG SO FULLY GHECTIC YULEH!!!!
na im just mucking with you, yeah it might sound different somewhat with 2 mufflers, considering the 1st muffler on the falcs is not mught in the way of noise suppression

personally, i run a 2.5' straight pipe exhaust. with no mufflers. just a little hotdog (makes absolutley zero difference, just there cause 1 muffler is legal limit me thinks. meh)

driven carefully, no cop problems. just gotta know when to make noise and when not to. and you will make a LOT of noise. ask the guys that came on the sunday cruise to st albans :)

its all about how you drive. if you have a gentle foot a 4spd falcon will never rev over 2k getting around town, and it will just sound nice a rumbly, thats it. but if your sitting there locking the grashifter in 2nd and booting it for your life, well lookout, cause you will attract attention

and ive seen those varex systems, so what happends when the wiring in it s**t itself and its stuck at full bore? or even worse, no noise?

You do realise you can get an off the shelf stock tail pipe without a muffler for $60. Cheap alternative if you want your stock exhaust legal and have a louder exhaust note.
