I've got a 2.5" exhaust on my Fairmont with just a rear muffler... the receipt called it a "straight through turbo muffler" or something like that! so just run a pipe I'd reckon.

What do you guys call front muffler and the rear muffler?
The original exhaust system goes like this:- Exhaust manifold, the Catalytic convertor, the front Resonator, the Main Muffler, the rear Resonator. Theres only 1 muffler in the whole system. XR6 (EB to EL, AU beam axle) mufflers are straight through, and std mufflers are not,(thats original equipment mufflers). You can remove the Main muffler from the original system, and its not much louder at all, and gives a little more power. When i said remove, i meant put a piece of pipe back in.

Pacemaker Extractors, 2.5" exhaust with 1 muffler, no resonators etc and a 3" dump tip
