Hey I am wondering how many of you all run with a standard exhaust, as opposed to a cat back sports and extractors and sports exhaust.

I was wanting to run a poll, but can't see the option.

I have a cat back 2.5" on my ED and am concidering extractors, will i notice an improvement

Yes you will notice a measurable difference.
Also, the polls are disabled for all members except administrators and moderators.

Also depends on what brand extractors you plan on getting is how much power you will gain and notice.

I got Lukey extractors, but I'm told that pacemakers are better for power gain.

On my 6cyl i had a 2.5" redback cat back zorst, stock extractos as insurance wasnt happy with me changing them..
Now on my 8cyl i use the stock extractors and twin pipe zorst, sounds good for stock but its not LOUD, not that i really want it that way.

bit off the topic but Im hoping someone can help.
Can anyone tell me if the XH XR6 series exhausts came standard with one or two mufflers. The Gregorys book Ive got says auto XH XR's came with only one, but Ive definately got two. Looking at getting a new exhaust soon (cat back) for now, extractors in a few months. Just wondering if I really need the second muffler as opposed to straight pipe like I planned

My XH has 2 "mufflers" - one resonator after the cat, then the big muffler after that.

Yes, Yes Yes Yes yes!!!! Get some pacies as they are top of the line. Lukey is more your mid-range stuff. You'll love the way they suck exhaust gases out of there. Your engine will run better, give you morepower and not as hot. If you can afford it, get the PH 4480 competition pacies instead of the 4499. Also get your cat modified for higher flow or get a new cat. Even with the cam I've got I'm getting roughly the same fuel consumption as before which is really good because i was told i'd be running worse than a v8 with this cam.

btw thats 550 kms city and 650 country.

Can anyone in Perth tell me if Carline in Maddington are any good,
they quoted me $270 for a 2.5 Lukey system (fm cat back) supplied and fitted, I didnt think that was too bad. Anyone else had a system fitted by them, still shopping around at this stage
