The biggest improvent i found in fitting various exhaust components. Was when i had the modified ford cat replaced with a high flow item.

I already had pacies and redback exhaust on the car.

Noticed more power with the high flow cat then when i got the pacies and exhaust put on. And a cleaner, crisper exhaust note while under hard acceleration.

I have just gotten a system fitted to my ef falcon which had the original exhaust fitted still (yeah 346000km)
The car at that point made 117.7 kw at the treads.

two weeks ago I got a cat back system fitted

Mandrel bent rear section (berklee I think)
Higher flow cat than standard *had that on the car for 12 months from another eb hehe
berklee muffler
all 2.5 inch stuff,
the front meter of pipe there was press bent but its only 4 bends and they are only slight.

IT SOUNDS PHAT :D
Now the car makes 131.02 kw at the treads..
Saturday night should see what difference performance wise it has made!

cost me 260 bucks :D

What do you guys think about a cat back 2'5" mandrel bent system with two straight through supercat mufflers? These are the systems that you can buy off ebay.

Thanks

the first few replies to this thread are pure and utter s**t!

There is not just one redback or one lukey system avaliable to compare the sounds. Both brands, but Lukey in particular, offer a variety of mufflers, resinators and hot dogs, and different combinations of these will cause different results.

OK I fitted 2nite a Supercat Cat back Mandrel exhaust 2'5" with two straight thru mufflers. Now i wasnt expecting much but it really sounds good a nice deep fat note and up high it growls. This is the exhaust off ebay from RPM_Supermart. I give it top marks for value sound and performance.

Anyone who says otherwise better have good reason because for anyone wanting to buy a good exhaust at a good price i rekon u cant beat it.

It costed me $275 plus 44 bux postage to vic from NSW so i think that is not too bad. Are you thinking of getting one? because they are worth it mine really sounds nice.

Some places you can get cheap zorsts.
Others you cant.
I could only get $360 fitted as the cheapest.

is that for a mandrel bent system or a press bent system.
I also paid a bit more for bolt up flanges and the extra welding etc involved.
