i have an EL Fairmont which has the cut out in the bumper to put the cornering lamps in if you wish to. i was wondering if anyone has run some piping from the cornering lamp cut out to the airbox? obviously cut another hole in the front of the airbox or somewhere it will fit to mount the new piping. is it possible, has it been done and would it suck in a lot more air giving you more power?
Any feedback welcome.

ive got a fairmont (95) and had already done what you have described... works very well on cold night.. doesnt pick up much dirt at all... mayby a few extra insects but thats what the filter is there for anyhow.. .. can be done on the cheap... i had a 3inch thick rubber pipe running from where the cornering lamp usualy is.. running at a right angle up and through the bottom of the ef airbox.. firing cold air at the K&N panel air filter.. is a good backyard job.. and only cost is the price of the rubber piping... and your time...

theres somthing that gets in the way but i didnt have to modify anything to make it fit.. was just all about the "Positioing of the pipe" that mattered.. i dont have any photoes... wasnt much to look at though.. lol..

have you done this mod yourself? or is your quote just a generalisation... because i have had a cold air pickup with a 3.5 inch rubber hose leading from where the cornering lamp goes to the bottom of the airbox and never had a problem of rain or water affecting my intake... and definatly wasnt driven around water puddles either..  .... gravity wuldnt allow the water to rise up the 90 degree angle rubber pipe up into the airbox... used this setup for about 2 years until ive just 3 days got rid of it because of installing cornering lamps..

it won't cuz the air presser won't be as high as it would be with just the 1 so unless he has some big assed turbos sucking from the air box it won't be a prob
