anyone here has a good understanding of heatshields?
which of the ones below is the better one? A or B i'm thinking of swapping them over. depending which one is better A is from an AUI Falcon, B is from an AUII Fairmont are they both made of the same material? cheers A Attachment: B Attachment:

i would say on the std exhaust manifold they are much the same..
but the au 2 one is better if your going to put it over your extractors as the au 2 one is more flexable and can be bent around your pipework fairly easy..ive got the au2 one over my pacemaker extractors and works great.. the early one seems to be less flexable and falls apart (middle layer crumbles) when you try bend it.. |

Yep go with the second one, I have just bought a sheet of that material from ACL to make my own up, they recomend it for turbo sheilding and has a ceramic paper insert between two aluminised steel sheets. http://www.aclperformance.com.au/prod_heatshield.htm
