the discoloration is from the mild steel, not the paint. the clear paint will dull up over time if you didn't follow the curring recommandation on the can. " OVEN BAKED" lol

Mate, don't be too disappointed!

A lot of people would be stoked to have a set of headers or zoomies in a 'rod that had such a nice consistent heat-tint like that.

At least you've probably got the only set on an E-series Falcon - show 'em off!

If its the steel doing it then why did it stay chrome for a couple days unsealed. It only did it once the paint was applied.......

Checked it today and its all wrinkled up and all flaking off, not only does this 'high temp' Motocraft paint discolour but it wont even last a week.

Tip for anyone wanting to do the same.... dont

Had to sand all the s**t off and spray some stuff that actually works, VHT high temp aluminium.
