because a bigger exhaust is much less restrictive up high and can still retain the alot of torque down low you will gain power wether you realise it or not.
a cat back exhaust will not make much of a noticable diffrence but on a dyno 4-8rwkw should be quite achiveable.

if you want a noticable diffrence on a auto spend your money on a 4.11lsd. that should put you ahead of manuals wheres as exhaust and extractors probly wont reach a manual till about 120km/h

its good but you will still be getting close to 80km in first gear which means that motor takes a while to generate max torque where as if you had 4.11 or 3.9 yould only be hitting say 60km in first so the car will rev quicker and acclelerate quicker.
my brothers ef fairmont exhaust, extractors, cai gets beatn every time by my au which was dead stock apart from 3.45 lsd.

agreed.

diff change = essential.
I also endorse the headers and 2.5 instalation, it really gives you a new motor. You can feel where it USED to choke up under throttle. Cam is good to more so if you have donw your headers and exhaust.

other than doing the headwork, a chip tuned with all of these can get you a ripping NA i6.

i went widlcats. with a flanged cat. and when they went on, theyre was a vast improvement. the car really got up and moved. but i had cam, headwork, cat back and intake done before.
i would recomend them, but not over other brands as i havent used others.

I have had two sets of ph4480's now and I find the newer ones dont have quite as much down low. I only have a mild cam and I assume Pacemaker modified their competition series for higher power use as they now have bigger primaries. Overall its nothing major but I when buying extractors think hard about your own personal definition of power and not just some kw figure the dude at the exaust shop quotes.

If its being able to climb hills and cruise around at ease then aim for low down torque, or If its rev your engine to 5000rpm at the traffic lights then look at the comp series.

Aside from all that jingo. In retrospect, the best performance mod you can do to a Falcon is get rid of the auto transmission!! It can be done for the same price as a complete exaust system if you do it yourself and it kills any other mod for its price.

Theres a couple of auto to manual conversions on ebay of late that have gone for under $500 or so, which is basically the price of extractors!

yes, umm you seriously need to put commas and full stops when you type. i almost chocked trying to read that in 1 breath.

ok heares some facts to shut every one up

assuming everything is stock. and talking about ford 6's
1)manual vs auto = manual will win every time
why???
shorter ratios and less od a drive train loss
2) auto sifts are quick but manual has the advantage of flat shifting, full shifting what ever you want to call it,
3)even if the auto has been modified manual will still eventually get it why??
because manual ratios are allready much shorter the autos and deliver more power through the wheels then a btr auto can. simply look at dyno read outs auto i6 100-110 manual is usually 110-115.

I wouldnt call an auto with a 4.11 diff ratio a good value performance mod. Say goodbye to fuel economy.
