My Brother in law was telling me yesterday that Lane Ford in Mandurah had told him Ford have/will soon have a bolt on LPG kit to the normal Barra BA's to duel fuel LPG.

Has anyone else heard this?

At the moment the only thing stopping me upgrading from my EF duel fueller to a BA MkII is the extra running cost. But if I can have a Ford warrantied add on LPG conversion, then I'll be signing up tomorrow.
It should be fittable to the standard XR6. Not to the Turbo I suspect but surely should be possible on the std XR6 ?

considering the current fuel prices and the huge spike in demand for LPG systems, its no suprise if ford are trying to get in on the act......

the NA XR6 has the same driveline as the XT's, so i dont see why you wouldnt be able to get the gas kit for them

I agree.
In the past Ford have kept telling me " No - it's not possible to fit an aftermarket LPG kit on the BA's "
But I'll swear I've seen plenty around with the little red "LPG" sticker on their number plates....so somebody must alraedy make the kits.
Obviously if I go a new Falcon, the warranty benefit of having the Ford LPG kit is a big issue...

Also - the word is big car sales are suffering really badly, so they have to do something to sell these Falcons.
Having run duel fuel for 8 years, and doing a minimum of 25,000km per year, I love it, and the price differential is massive now.

either that or you keep seeing the BA Egas cars which come from teh factory as dedicated LPG and so would have LPG stickers on the number plates (the work Egas ute definately does!)!

you can get dual fuel kits for ba's but that means no ford warranty anymore. they cost from $2500 up.
know a few blokes who got ba's from the auctions and then dual fueled for taxi use.
