howdy just wondered remember when you sugested get a fairmont and do it up you said about $1000 - 2000 to buy the tired fairmont then about 1500 to buy all the parts out of another lower kms fairmont the same model is that still what im looking at or is there other hidden expenses apart from fitting a later engine and thermo fans. if not what is the total, thanks for your time & i look foward to your reply.

he's asking how much it would cost to put the running gear of a lower kilometer fairmont into another one.
im assuming he's talking putting a EF/EL motor into an EA-ED considering the thermofans... |

You would be better of buying a car registered, then saving some more $$$'s then getting stuff like 2 1/2 exhaust, extractors, 17", 18" rims then modify the rest as you have the $$$'s. The main thing you should look at is finding a car with good body and panels no rust and the better the paint will save you $$$'s. I bought an eb1 fairmont for $350 with 330,000 k's and put a later model 4.0, auto, lsd. You may think you will save but in the end you will need to replace more on a car with high k's.
