i'll try, the guy is on the toyota forum i use for my toyota project so i'll hit him up about it. they sold it on trademe (our ebay) think it fetched $50k+ iirc. was a saweet setup, a lot of effort, and the motor was sitting well back in the engine bay for weight balancing, i'll try get some pics.

ahhh i'd hate to change spark plugs on it lol or do a head gasket i'd like to see the focus coupe RWD with a small block v8 in it like 4.0L like what Opel did with the old astra coupe or 3.5L v6 maby mid mounted, ud have to piss the rear seat off so it fit but that would be sweet

That focus is fckn unreal!

Anyone have any thoughts on what sorta power you would need to get say 600 - 700kg down the quarter in about 10sec's?

I've been thinking about some more go for my mighty boy. I've currently got a F8b 800cc engine of 29 FWKW in it, and i know of a couple of guys who have slot in power plants like a 1.3lt swift or 1lt charade turbo. I wonder how well a really hot charade 1lt engine would go in a mighty boy, which would be about 600-650kg once converted. Pocket Rocket?

Cheers

ToranaGuy

Around 220rwkw according to an ET calculator.
The hard bit would be getting it to hook up!

220 eh? lol. So 13's possibly wouldn't be too hard for a mighty boy with a worked charade 1lt turbo engine, providing you could get it to hook up?

Cheers

I dunno, what are they getting out of charade motors?
ET Calc reckons 90rwkw for a 1500lb pound car to do a 13.5.

http://www.tunercalcs.com/hp-from-quarter-mile-et.html
Thats what Im using, they aren't perfect by any means, but they can give you a rough idea.

Assuming perfect launch, I can't imagine it'd be easy to get a Mightyboy off the line with any sort of power!

Much easier to fit another car engine to it. Not to mention it would still be road legal if engineered correctly.

Rough power figures, the original low boost carby versions put out about 50Kw/80Hp ish on 7psi. The later EFI engines put out in the ball park of 75Kw/120Hp stock, i've seen modified engines on >15psi putting out more than 200Hp.

It's funny talking about such small power outputs, but when you compare these figures to the original 19Kw/30Hp Mighty boy engine, which is a fsckn slug btw, it's a lot of power. Hell even slotting in the 29Kw F8B i have done made a huge difference to it's performance.

Getting it off the line would require some skill, that's for sure!

Cheers

Have you seen the smart cars with the hayabusa engine on youtube, they are mad!!
I also would of thought of it as easy power and you should be able to make it legal!
