CRT LP fuse - has been mentioned in a few threads recently

edit: just reread and saw you said interior lights are working

check coil, distributor, the usual suspects as well

Check for spark first. Being an EL it has the standard coil that are common to fail (small cracks that moisture enter and then fail)

great - im not that up to speed with this stuff but I will just remove the spark plug wires 1x1 and check for spark against the engine chassis? and what is a LP Control fuse ? Everything is good inside the car - electrics all working normally in terms of lights and locks - should this be a immobiliser issue and what to do about it. also is there such thing as a solanoid or something ? and water could well have been in the distributor or something as the engine was flushed clean with steam last week

Yeah I had the same No-start problem a few weeks ago and it was the Ignition Coil as well. Must be a common fault on EL as someone suggested
