So today my ef farm car run out of fuel I put another 3 or 4 litres of fuel in and turned it over it fired
A few times and run for about 3 seconds , I've heard of fuel lines getting blocked cause of the gunk and stuff left in the tank at the bottom could that be the problem? Or could I have not put enough fuel in
When it turns over it sometimes turns fast and sometimes won't even turn over then it will tick tick tick then I take the terminal off and on and it turns fast then it just goes dok and stops but the starter motor is still trying to turn it over please help!

fuel pump should prime for a few seconds when you turn the key on then stop. but if the startor is ticking sometimes id be leaning towards battery. or starter. charge the battery and see what happens, or jump start it.

I know my ea would run out of fuel way before my au does. The au swirl pot is alot better designed, it gets down to about 4-5litres. which of the two you have in an ef I'm unsure of. I would try putting a bit more fuel in it though. Dry cranking will contribute to a dead battery, particularly in a farm basher.

I don't understand people that keep putting in 5 litres of fuel at a time, how bout, just one time you splash out and put 20 litres of fuel in it, then when you use it tip in a few litres. who knows one day it might even end up full... Leaving you with plenty of pre-fueling free use. Dry cranking will contribute to a dead battery, particularly in a farm basher.

I know what you mean but I live out of town and 4 litres was all I had I try put 10 in tomorrow and see what happens

So I put more fuel in it and same thing but with a few fires every now and again bug now it won't even engage the starter motor but I noticed the smart lock flashing about every second? I only noticed it when it won't engage the starter motor could that be why it isn't starting? It could of done this before I just didn't notice it

as you turn the key to start, give the bcm a thump with your hand. just above your left knee next to the steering column

well that changes a few things, could have blown out intake gasket, or stuffed a sensor in the intake somewhere.

How do you check if it's intake gasket or senor?
