I have an FG i6 engine i want to fit to my BF MkII ute, (keeping the intake manifold on the FG engine) other than swapping over the sump, is a simple plug and play? Or do i need to fit the BF engine loom to the FG engine?

swap sump, oil pick up pipe, baffle on bottom of block. depending on vintage of block may or may not have provision to relocate dipstick.

them swap engine mounts, modify/cut 1 piece of the block off so engine mounts will bolt up.

then swap entire engine loom over to suit the BF ecu
