Redback its great, Initially its actually really quiet, but after about 1000k's and the fibres start to burn in it sounds awesome.
I want to get extractors but don't no how to get pass the engine warning light coming on. Underdrive pulley is basically a replacement crank pulley that reduces the amount of power needed to operate belt driven accessories such as Aircon and alternator. The underdrive pulley *does not* produce horsepower -- it simply frees up some power that was being used to drive the stock pulley and accessories. They're about $299 for a powerbond one on ebay

OK WTF!!!! why would ford put a restrictor in the intake lid?
i only found this today, its bloody tiny... it was smaller than the pipe they put on the AUI XR6... anyway iv taken this off so hopefully it will breath alot better now... cant wait to take it for a drive. (cant drive atm, ankles f**k from basketball) anybody else noticed this restrictor?

Yeah its been commented on quite alot. I think it was to increase the air speed in a hope to make more torque

phatba wrote: 2dads how did you go with installing the sub considering there is no rca outs? line level convertors or a hidden processor? Yeah with line converters. It's a pain to rip out all the speakers wire the converters up then run new wires to the new speakers, but well worth it in the end, because I'm able to tune the speakers and sub separately using the line converters, without having to touch the head unit. It's gonna be handy when adding more speakers and different sized subs for better cover of frequencies and response bump on where is this restrictor in the airbox lid? If there's something I can remove to get that little bit more throttle response before I have to pay up big for the Blue Power Racing airbox I'm keen!! |

Mission accomplished. Also... WOW!!
Noticed 2 changes as soon as I started driving. 1st was the very slight change in note, it's small, but noticeable when you've played with a car long enough as you all probably know 2nd.... Instant improvement in throttle response! Where I used to wait a second or two from a stand still or slow speeds, the car's now jumping every time I touch the pedal. It's a HUGE improvement! Thanks guys! More exited for a new airbox and pod filter than ever |
