i had an 08 fg xr6 modded you cant really do too much b4 you need to start tuneing but this is what i done to mine. i put extractors on, removed the 2 large mufflers and replaced them with a single lukey removed the small resonator and replaced with straight pipe. i also replaced the air filter with a pod in the box, and a air scoop which ran down the front of the grille to get a little more air into the intake pipe. went 100% better not that they are slow stock but there was a very noticeable difference. thats about all you can do b4 the ecu starts telling you that you cant have anymore fun.

cant go very far at all without a tune. changing exhaust pipe size will set off the check engine light. about all you can do is air intake stuff. i put a modified fg v8 setup in mine, works well. otherwise unless you tune you can only give it show but no more go. also all the bolts are security bolts, even for the airbox, so you will need some torx bits to undo them

is it an auto or a manual fg? mine was manual i had constant trouble with the clutch not giveing enough stroke so all gears once moveing wer a bit crunchy, they never fixed it and so the money thieves come took the car away. good ridince too it, i hated the thing it was a lemon mine was, had problem after problem, i still have the paper work for mine here from the day i brought it till 3 months later i spent a total of 1 week driveing it. the rest of the time it was back at the dealers getting fixed.

I've only done a couple of things for looks so far.
Applied carbon fiber vynl to all the s**t silver plastic trim. Makes it look much nicer.
Changed the front bar for a GT one, just because it looks so much nicer than standard front bar.
I replaced all my speakers, installed a sub. Massive pain in the backside but now I've got crystal clear sound ;)
Hopefully extractors, exhaust, airbox and tune soon :D

*edit
Oh also some small things like changed the interior lights with white LEDs. Changed the indicator bulbs with LEDs.
Then added some footwell lights and ones under the doors so you can only seem em when the doors are open.
yes yes I know rice. But it actually makes the car look really sweet at night because of the light reflecting from my nice shiny black paint ;D

Cozza88,

how did you go about fixing the engine light with installing extractors. As soon as you out it in extractors, the engine light goes on and you need to have it "removed" by someone in the ford industry.

I've done the Air dam scoop under the front grill, changed the snorkel, air box setup with one from bluepower, changed the filter, Installed redback 2.5 inch cat back exhaust, Original GT front everything, HID Fogs and headlights, swapped from single monoscreen to dual zoned colour premium GT dash, spears and door trims.

2dads how did you go with installing the sub considering there is no rca outs? line level convertors or a hidden processor?
