Hello Hello

Well went down to my old work today to see what was up for grabs.

They had a AU that just rolled off the truck with a lukey 2.5 cat back with no rear resi. Talked to my old boss and he said it will fit the EF/EL so he said he would supply and fit it for me for $60. He said they only reason he will fit is because it needs welding so not complaining.

Searching for a snorkle as lukey just sold his :(

But i have a EF GLi but its a ABS model so went to u-pull-it and i can get a cruise actuator for $16.50, then the presure switch will fall into the tool box and ill have to arrange buttons so hopefully ill have cruise controll for under $30.

I was also reading the cruise doco and they said there is a wire for low coolant sensor in the ABS loom. I looked but cant find it. Is it possible to add the low coolant sensor to the GLi easily?

All Fairlanes and XR8's were IRS, Some Ghias and i think some XR6's.
AU exhaust will fit if non IRS.
There should be a round plug near the coolant reservoir somewhere for low coolant sensor, i'm pretty sure it was fitted to all ABS models, now you need to find a coolant reservoir with switch.

low coolant sensor PLUG is below the recovery tank, Dig and you shall find!

However.. its no free lunch... the engine bay wiring is there, But the dash wire is NOT present.
You can axcess this engine bay wire from inside the cabin, its plugged into the wire gang plug facing the driver (bonus) its yellow with a red stripe... tap into that and add a new pin to the cluster and add a globe and presto!

Can you make that a little clearer for me as i need to add one causei have to check the level everynow and then cause some hoses need replacing and it gets low quick sometimes.

Ill have another look for the sensor.

Drop the car off tonight and the exhaust will be put in either tonight or tomorrow morning. $60 fitted. Got to love being an ex-employee.

I need to find a snorkle for the bastard.

Now im going thread digging to find what paint is best used for the cabin. Im painting the dash, console, wheel, doors satin black. Im going to cover the center console lid with black leather.

It was standard on all XR6 VCT's, XR8's, Fairlanes, and I think the S pac falcon also had the IRS...
