I thought ABS was a series 2 EB onwards item.

To fit it, best bet would be to get a complete car with ABS, as you will need the looms, abs module. All the ABS brake pipe work, ABS front stub's, ABS Diff. Lots of time.....

You will also need to have certain holes in the body of the car to allow pipes & looms to pass thru. Does the EB series 1 have them? I know series 2 do.

Cheers

early ABS wasn't anything like it is today, i wouldn't bother.
i wanted to upgrade my abs to a 4 line system so i could have traction control, haven't done much research yet.

I reckon ABS wasn't introduced until EB2, so there are probably some other bits missing or different too.

I really wouldn't bother.

Yeah ABS is a EBII on thing,

I agree with the "better off without it" comments..
The system was a little....provincial shall we say?

If your really tongueing for a car with ABS go for a BA.

Don't bother with the EB/ED Bendix system - better to go at least the EF Bosch system, or better the late EF/EL/AUI Bosch system. Then you're better off buying the car with it already fitted.

If you're car runs a converter/mixer LPG system, you won't be able to run traction control.
