gday. this is all to go into an ED.
i need a new radiator and hoses so might aswell do the lot at once. since i need to replace everything should i just buy an ef radiator? will this fit straight in? if using the ef radiator and hoses the only other thing to change is the thermostat housing to an ef one yes? or is the bottom hose completely different aswell? the only reason im thinking of changing to an ef radiator and hoses is i need to replace them all and it will make it easier to mount the ef thermo fans aswell. can anyone see any problems with doing this? and im pretty sure i read somewhere that ef fans are better to use than el? any other input would be great. |

At some point Ford changed the bottom hose size, not sure which model.
You should be able to buy a radiator for your ED with the captive nuts for the thermos , as I did for my EA. I believe that the manufacturers are making the tanks all the same now, except for the hose sizes.

neither is really prefferable, EF fans you can get one extra fan speed combo out of (one on, one off/ one on, one half on / Both on) wheras the EL ones are (one on, one off / Both on) if yoru using a davies craig thermofan switch youve only got one speed any way (BOTH ON)

the craig davies switchs are good im using it both fans on for cooling and the air con one fan on works good just the temp sensor in the top hose is a pain had to put 2 hose clamps on to stop it leaking .

I found the same on the EA. Though I stopped it leaking with a little selastic on the rubber insert.
