Just thought I would share a win that I had today with an FG XR6 (manual) just in case anybody else comes across the same drama.

Fault Description
Reverse light fuse blows when reverse gear selected.

Cause of Fault
Reverse switch internally shorted to ground.

Repair Process
Assessed system with short light and found short present on switched side of reverse light circuit. Unplugged rear lights, short still present. Moved all accessible harness around, not change to short. Unplugged reverse switch and bridged plug, reverse lights working correctly, short no longer present. Performed continuity test on switch and found switched side was shorted to ground. Replaced reverse switch and tested, working correctly.
