Some may remember a while back I had a shocking rattle coming from my car, hence the reason I didnt have it on the Arthurs seat cruise, I suspected cat convertor, well it turns out it was my extractors.
Where the first primary met the first collector, the weld between had broken, the entire circumference of the pipe, so the primary was just sitting there, wasnt joined to the collector at all, the two edges were rattling against each other, and leaking aswell! Pulled the headers out yesterday, took em to be welded up, back on and the car sounds like brand new, and all for the huge cost of $10! Needless to say I have been holding gears out a bit, the car hasnt sounded this good in months!

yeh, as above.
what did the rattle sound like? di it change with revs etc? i had a look at my extactors yesterday and the bolt under No6 is looser, i could move it with a spanner and 1 finger, but i cant tighten it because i cant get a socket over it cause it hits the welds.

hmmm i have an annoying rattle too, although i think i ffixed it this afternoon. looks like the clutch cable had loosened itself and was moving around in the firewall making a racket. sound plausible?

Pacemaker PH4480s.
The rattle was very tinny, and only occured between idle and around 2000rpm. And as for the bolt under No6 port, use a 13mm ring spanner to tighten it Gaz
