Some time ago I fitted this filler tank to my vehicle to replace the old one that was getting bit of crud that was hard to remove.
All hose connections were tight and no water seen leaking, a good sign. After having the water rise in temperature I noticed a few bubbles of air coming through between the cap holder and filler. I've attached two pics. Is this filler a faulty manufacture? I put the old one back on and have no issues with it apart from the crud.

Yep, sure is. The other one still on the car also from Ebay, had no problems with that one, starting to discolour with gunk build up. Flushed it a few times, a bit cleaner but still has crap inside that wont wash out. |

I did try to clean another I had in the past. I used Hydrochloric Acid solution and soaked for 24 hours.
It cleaned it a bit but not very successful. |

That was a an older unit, wont be using Hydrocloric acid again, too risky.
