hey,
I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with some modifications to my eb.
I know there is heaps of pages for it but recently new laws have been enforced for p-plate drivers which doesn't let you modify your car at all.

For those who dont know what the new laws are...
No supercharging or turbo
No modifications to the car to increase performance.

But ther is ALWAYS ways around things and i would appreciate suggestions.

Can some one please tell me which mods i can get away with and hide from the cops.

Thanks! :)

I've got extractors, 2.5" exhaust and hi flow K&N filter, just ordered 1673 wade cams regrind cam.
I dunno if Victoria laws are different to NSW but we have very similar restrictions. I got pulled over by mobile rbt and he didnt even hint at looking at anything. Just say you replaced damaged cast alloy stock extractors for steel ones. most shouldnt pickup up if you got a mild cam regrind. 1673 wade cam seems to have not much effect on idle quality but increases torque noticably. although its not recommened for stock auto's, but the 1636 grind is supposed to be very similar in quality.
As long as you keep your car as stock looking as possible without screwing on tacky autobarn mods and dont hoon around constantly you shouldnt really have much to worry about.

dont worry about it, many cars have been banned for p-plate use under the power>weight laws for years.

now think how often do you see p-plate senators,ss's, xr8's, wrx's etc???

i agree with above, go nuts but keep it hidden.

Quote:
a high powered vehicle is considered to be any vehicle with a power to weight ratio over 125 kw per tonne, or with an engine capacity to weight ratio over 3.5 litres per tonne. This includes any make of car.

hey dude im on my p's they dont realy say anything i got my head done crowcam , 4488's pacemakers highflow cat a 2 and a half inch madral bent exhaust custom intake piping going down to the bumper with a custom made snorkle down there.
what they realy look for is the height of your car dont put super or ultra lows just lower it a little bit, the size of your rims dont put 19's if by law u can only have 17's, stereo wireing ( I KNOW IT SOUNDS CRAZY ) but if your carpet in your boot is abit puffy because uve hid all your amp wires underneeth they will tare it up it happend to me also make sure u dont have any loose bumpers. cracked tail lights ect. if you do get a fine for driing a high powered vehicle just quote the factory bouklet and say u have not touched the motor once u despute it in court works a charm. if you got ur p's before the 1st of july this year then u got nothing to worry about old power to weight laws still apply for u :)

Next year im hopin ill have enough for a ba turbo and ill just rip the turbo bages off haha should work.
