Hi guys

Well, I'm fitting a new engine to my Ford EF Fairmont. Now I dont want to take any risks with water and doing another head gasket on it so I'm looking at replacing all the hoses, taps and an option the radiator. Now I went into a couple radiator places to see what it would cost to get a flushing and that, most charged around 90 dollars. Now looking on ebay I have found new ones for the same price. Is there any other things that need to be done to a brand new radiator? Like flushing it before hand?

These are a couple I have found, are they poor quality? Or are they OK?

Get yours flushed and tested. If you buy those off Ebay you will be replacing them within 12 months.

Try This one;

Thanks mate, but Yeah just a little out of my price range with everything to do with fitting the engine, I thought it might be ok to grab one of those instead of getting mine flushed and checked.

Made the same mistake you are thinking of and split the tank.
