just took my car for a drive and only just noticed it doing it but when i give it some in all gears over 3000-3500rpm it starts making this weird ticking noise... it only starts when it gets to that point there noise before that.. ive changed the lifters months ago after i had the head off but dont know what this could be and couldnt find anything on here about it.. its only when its under load cant get it to make the noise on idle.

My uncle has the same thing with his eb xr6 and I have been told it could be the chain guide have you checked that?
