On the way home from work i hit a decent size pothole which made the car dip a bit.
Now when i go to ever turn its like the front end turns then the back end decides to follow. it feels like the front is really loose and slack. when i drove on a straight road i decided to check the steering so i started wobbling the steering wheel it feels like a front wheel buzz box. i was told it might be the control arms? it feels like a snake best way to explain it lol
Drives straight, brakes straight, steering is very snake like.
Guy at bob jane said the wheel area looked a little bent he mesured the distance from the guard and the tires left looked further out.

get a wheel alignment

Also, check the rack ends & intermediate shaft. if there is any of play in those, the wheel will have slop galore in it. new intermediate shaft fixed mine.

you may have done a bearing. making the wheel loose causing that "snake" feeling. no grindign sounds or anything like that?? go along side the car and pull on the wheel itself to see if there is any play in it there should be very little 2 none (bar sidewall movement of the tyre itself) if it were me id look at the steering rack and bearings, doubt it could be a control arm. hope it helps

cheers for the help fellas. i just got a wheel alignment done and they say it drives like crap lol steering wise. They think it might be the tie rod because one of the guys tried to undo something but it was tight and not normal. Gotta book it into pedders to get it checked over on the hoist.
but ive changed over a steering rack before do they need to be aligned or something? or just go straight up ive only put it in once lol. cheers.

I hit a huge freakin pot hole and it loosend my steering rack a lot and also pulled one of the bolts holding the stabaliser bar out.

You took it to a wheel shop. They said it drives like crap and still did a wheel allignment on it.
I hope they didn't charge you.
That wheel alignment you probably just payed for will have been completly pointless.
We completly check the front ends before doing a wheelo, won't do it if any joints, bushes, bearings are excesivly worn.

Nah they did it for free and told me to go to pedders to get it checked.
Last night it spun out at 70kmhs in the wet . She full locked left and right 5 times headed towards a curb but got her back but then the back end just whiped around, slamed the brakes and stopped about 5 feet from hitting another curb lol ...i was facing the opposite direction i came from

whateva has happend to the front end she just glides around round abouts & corners with a tap of the pedal..the front wheels actually skip when turning. bit dangerous...

Id say youvemanaged to bend something.probably got some bushes that have packed it aswell.
