i just got my car not to long ago n i want to get some good airflow mabye a BA/BF snorkel n pod filter but not sure wat im doin really any suggestions

not enough ventilation, ef no grille
run a 4inch pipe directly under the bumper straight to the airbox, then it will suck in lots a cold air!

I added a 4'' pipe in the fron of the airbox taking air from behind the headlight, worked well in conjunction with a pod filter. The ultimate though is to do what the dude above said.

hey u have nay pics of how to get it from the box under the bumper coz i had a look n didnt really no how to get it there ??

cut / drill holes in the airbox / car chassis to gain access under headlight. send the hose to the front air vent to pickup cold air. This helps get cool air/ pressurised air and keeps airspeed high through the hose and through the box. I used the existing vent trim to keep it hidden away at the front but cut open the vent holes so it enlargens the area where air can enter.
4inch hose is a tight fit between the abs module and purge cannister and the wheel splashguard, i cut a hole in the splashguard so the hose didnt get too squashed, just make sure the wheel doesnt contact the hose.

Water will pool in the bottom of the hose and airbox but it won't make it past the air filter so water isn't a problem.

fair enough but i like having the intake up high, after the massive storms we had in melbourne a few months back i enjoyed driving through some water and watching a supra park on the side as it couldnt go through...

water doesnt get into the airbox, ive taken it on the highway in downpours and driven it hard so it sucks in alot.. the hose does get wet, but doesnt pool significantly. flexi hose you can easily punch a few small drain holes if you want but normally not needed.
Flood waters, though ive never driven through any, i would imagine as long as the water level is not crazy high, anywhere up to the bottom of the airbox, youve still got the snorkel sucking air from up high, so dawdling through should still be ok, ie, not revving the guts out of it. |

If the flood water level is high enough that it gets in through those front vents you would be crazy to drive through it anyway. Think of your suspension, wheel bearings, etc etc

yeah true, water was only about a foot at its deepest i think, fine for a stock EF :p my z wouldnt have made it though, thing is stupid low (stock) and the air intake is a pod which sits low at the front... would have had to park it just like the supra haha, i love having the falcon now
ahhh i didnt realise you did this mod in adition to the normal intake at the top... sweet as

could u do this mod with the pipe facing the rear of the car???
i understand the airspeed would be minimized but cold air would be good with less drama of water and dirt leaves etc |

i understand the airspeed would be minimized but cold air would be good with less drama of water and dirt leaves etc leaves and dirt wont really become an issue unless u ditch the car into a mound of dirt
