hey guys my boss and i were talking a couple of days ago and he siad that ford were goin to stop making the staright six and start importing the v6 because it was cheaper is this true or is my boss talking s**t again

yeah its true but not specifically for those reasons.

it will be 3.5l v6. ford world motor. conplies with Euro emmisions standards, smaller lighter more efficient to name but a few reasons.

i think one of the main reasons is the new motor is all alloy? and its warms up quicker, therefore putting out less emissions.

Does anyone have any info on these engines? what is there power output?

how will they compare to the holden v8 for output?

Euro 3 emissions also covers "Drive by" noise levels too, as in tyre noise, wind noise from the vehicle ( mirrors, wheel covers, mag wheels, spoilers, etc....).

yep, you'd know cjh. talk about pox, the engine takes say 5 minutes to warm up, and comply whereas the new standards want the cars to comply asap... wonder why they wont try alloy blocks in the i6
