What model are you referring to exactly? EA-ED, EF-EL, AU?

Don't bother not buying the higher spec car (in my opinion) as it's a pain in the a*** to get the luxury features later.

I don't know if it's normal or not, but my EF mont came with an LSD. The previous owner could possibly have changed it, cos I thought LSD's only came in XR's. But mine definitely has one :D

Ghias came with the 3.45 LSD and the XR6 motor as standard iirc.

Correct. From series II EF Ghia up to EL Ghia got the 3.45 LSD and tickford motor. Series 1 EF Ghia's, didnt get the tickford motor.

Tha'ts Ghia's only though, he said just Fairmont. LSD was an optional extra from factory as well.

Sorry forgot to mention that was the about the Ghia's in that post. Original post has been editted.

I wouldnt have a clue about options when it comes to the normal Fairmonts though. All i know is that it has a few more items over the base model falcons.
