a modded i6 will be ahead of the ls1 and ls2 until we hit 3rd gear (manual) which is about 100kmh, after that its time to show them your brake lights to rub it in...
if you dont stop at that point and try to keep going in 3rd gear you will only be embarrassed by them as they drive past with ease!

ha,ha..show em the brake lights!!! very true- either that or pull in fronta them?? *lol*

haha its cuts them up real bad!

i would love to but alas the poor EA had to get sold. Was falling apart at the seems. I drove that thing like it was stolen had it for 2.5 years changed the oil twice, blew four clutch's, snapped an axle, puled the clutch cable through the firewall and the clutch pedal fell off
(Back in the s**pid days)

But when driving it down to be traded for my BA dad drove behind me and swears that it didn't blow an ounce of smoke the whole trip and i cained it the whole way there. and the gearbox was still in excellent nick

wish i still had it

yeah but i bet your el is an auto and imagine if the falcon auto's had the same gearing as the commodore auto's the falcons would be struggling to put all that tourque to the ground with out the tyre's turning to smoke

The VN is something like 1/2 tonne lighter too, the engine in it's self is a POS.

i was reading the kind of mods people with commodore v6's do to make more power some dude had pacemaker extractors crow cam, 1.97 or some s**t rocker ratio, chip, cold air intake then he made 128rwkw.... seriously i think the FORD I6 is about 30rwkw infront and about 80nm infront of the v6. There is no comparison.

a average falcon weighs about 1500. a vn weighs 1300.
200kg not 500kg.

my mate's VR made 101.3 rwkw with pacemaker extractors, 3 inch mandrel bend exhaust, chiptourque chip and cold air intake a 4.0 litre would make heaps more power with the same mods so that make them better obviously

hahahahhahahahahahhaah fully sick commodore yeah my modified commodore runs as much power as a stock falcon.

Edit: Less power maybe as much as a falcon on gas.

A) get a manual
B) learn to drive said manual.

I dont see why this argument is still going....
theres only 203cc of difference between the 3.8 (3791cc) and 4.0 (3984cc), which is about 4% difference. The power difference, especially torque, is far in excess of 4%.

1992 Commodore
Power 127kW @ 4800rpm
Torque 293Nm @ 3600rpm
vs
1992 Falcon
Power 148kW @ 4500rpm
Torque 348Nm @ 3750rpm

1995 commodore
Power 147kW @ 5200rpm
Torque 304Nm @ 3600rpm
vs
1995 falcon
Power 157kW @ 4900rpm
Torque 357Nm @ 3000rpm

2002 Commodore
Power 152kW @ 5200rpm
Torque 305Nm @ 3600rpm-
vs
2002 Falcon
Power 182kW @ 5000rpm
Torque 380Nm @ 3250rpm

hmm lets see..... i think the commodore loses in all of those.
a 1992 falcon has more torque than a 2002 commodore.
a 1995 falcon has more power AND torque than a 2002 commodore.

Thats not including the XR6 either, which has more power and torque again.

Does this prove that Falcon i6's win yet?
