owned commy's for years, got sick of em breaking down and falling apart... what so i changed to Ford lolz?
In my experience the V6 spooled up quicker but the Ford i6 pulls away when it gets its legs. Get some fast gears i reckon yer blow all over the holden.

Also Commo's build revs quicker due to gear ratios.

Its just the modern lingo these days.
Spool and lag are just terms purely used to describe acceleration characteristics, regardless of whether a car is turbo or NA these days. Yes it sounds f**k up and retarded but that's the lingo that the general populace has accepted. just ask tickford_6 how many customers come into his shop talking like that. Just like calling brake jobs line lockers. No, a line locker is a solenoid used to isolate one end of your braking system. Believe it or not but in drag racing its used on the front brakes to maintain maximum brake pressure. A brake job on the other hand is when you keep a car still during a burnout by keeping your foot on the f**k brake pedal. |

The stroke has no effect on how quickly they build revs, it's the gearing! FFS a Commodore 4 spd Auto has the same gearing with 3.08 diff gears as a Falcon 4spd with 4.11 gears,

I once owned a VN 3.8 5 speed wagon, that was a fun car... 50 meter burnouts off the line with no brakes.... Smoked quite a few VS Auto V6's too (they were new then).... Used to love P Platers in their V6 autos, that was so much fun... But it was horrible at everything else..... Handling was crap, tow anything and 5th was useless (had to stay in 4th and thats on a flat road!!!).... and fuel economy went out the window when towing.... and that was with an 8x5 trailer with a motorbike on it.... Done a few tows in my EL Auto on LPG I had after the VN and could sit on 100 kmh easy with no fuss and that was with a car trailer with a EL falcon wagon on the back....
